proper scissor grip

  • by mcade
  • April 8, 2020

Did you know there is a proper way to hold a scissors to make cutting easier and more efficient?

This takes specific hand skills such as opposition, separation of 2 sides of the hand, formed arches of the hand, and web space stability.

You will need to be able to open and close your thumb to your fingers repeatedly to be able to use a scissors.

Make sure to put your thumb in the smaller hole and only your pointer and middle finger in the bigger hole.

When cutting make sure your thumb is on top and you move the paper with your helper hand and keep the scissors cutting straight up and forward.

We have attached a video for you to see.
