Hand Gym – Follow the Trail | Bilateral Coordination & Finger Dissociation Game
$5.00
Description
This resource is an engaging, interactive eye–hand coordination activity designed to strengthen bilateral coordination, motor planning, and visual attention through purposeful movement. Children use their index finger to “follow the trail” across a tri-colored board. When a color is touched, they respond by completing a corresponding hand action on the opposite side of the body using the opposite hand, promoting integrated left–right body awareness and coordination.
!2-themed boards provided for both left and right-sided use, supporting accurate visual modeling of finger placement and hand positioning to encourage symmetry, motor control, and improved spatial awareness across both sides of the body.
From an OT perspective, skill areas addressed include:
- Eye–hand coordination
- Bilateral integration
- Finger dissociation
- Motor planning
- Sequencing
- Sustained attention
- Body awareness
Perfect for OT sessions, sensory motor stations, small groups, or movement breaks, this resource provides a fun and motivating way to support skill development through purposeful play.
